Against the backdrop of the current energy crisis, ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, and the accelerating impacts of global warming, the timing could not be more critical to address how the UK’s cold chain is powered, operated and future‑proofed.

Join Our Engaging Workshop:

Cold chain infrastructure is central to the UK’s food supply, pharmaceuticals, retail distribution, and international trade. It is also a material contributor to energy demand and carbon emissions across warehousing, transport, logistics and retail cooling.

This Reef‑UKC‑led workshop brings together industry, infrastructure operators, retailers, supermarkets, policy and researchers to examine current initiatives and roadmaps for decarbonising cold chain systems. The focus is on practical delivery, and scalable solutions that can support the UK’s Net Zero ambitions while maintaining system performance and resilience.
